Being the best you can be is no longer an aspiration in modern society. Fame was once seen as the excrement of success, now is it has become the single object of desire. Everyone can have their 15 minutes of fame if they act like farmyard animals on camera long enough to be acknowledged by some former reality show idiot.
Before you know it the fabric of society will crumble and descend into a far more moronic dystopia than Huxley could have ever conceived.
Once the last battery dies and there is no electricity left to recharge it...only then will people look up from their black mirrors and realise... the human species can't sustain itself on a catalogue of social media influencers flashing their wobbly bits for the adoration of their lecherous relatives.
